1 Health, 2 Wealth, 3 Wise - Learn to Breathe

Gold vs US Dollar, Writing Tips, Bitcoin, Spotify, Billionaires Build, Paul Graham

A weekly newsletter bringing you 1 on Health, 2 on Wealth and 3 on Wisdom. Curating best of the week so that you don’ that have to & help leading better meaningful lives.

1 on Health 🏃🏻‍♀️🏃🏼‍♂️ - Learn to Breathe

  1. Learn to Breathe - by Stray Reflections - Breathing, with awareness and intention, sits at the heart of spiritual practice. To let one breath go, say the Sufis, without being conscious of it is a sin. A bridge between oneself and God, in Arabic ruh refers both to the breath and to the divine presence.

Breathing usually happens without us, of course. Even if we try to stop, some force overpowers our efforts. Chinese culture names qi as the vital life force flowing through all living beings. Yogis call it prana

2 on WEALTH - Bitcoin Revolution & Making Money from Spotify

  1. Everyone is raving about Bitcoin & my audience knows that we have been pushing & HODLING the BTC flag since 2013. This is a good listen. Not a financial advice, but Bitcoin & other selected crypto could;d have a great 2021, along with some stocks

  2. Earshare: The Idiot's Guide to Investing in Spotify - The numbers are all priced in, the upside is in the narrative. “What I mean is that all of the sophisticated investors have access to the same data and run similar models on it. The current price of a stock is reflective of all of that information. It’s exceedingly rare for an individual to beat the pros and their computers by understanding a number better than them. Machines are really really good at numbers. They can find and incorporate a new data point before a human even knows to start looking”.

3 on WISDOM - Childlike Thinking, Billionaires Build,

  1. Sometimes, the little snippets from kids teach you a lifetime of wisdom. This one below called “Life of a Kid” is a must follow. Simple weekly routine that will just take two minutes of your time, make you smile & more importantly leave you with a thought what these kids are learning these days.

  1. Billionaires Build by Paul Graham - Here's an excerpt:

The greatest danger of this nonsense may not even be that it sends policy astray, but that it misleads ambitious people. Can you imagine a better way to destroy social mobility than by telling poor kids that the way to get rich is by exploiting people, while the rich kids know, from having watched the preceding generation do it, how it's really done?

I'll tell you how it's really done, so you can at least tell your own kids the truth. It's all about users. The most reliable way to become a billionaire is to start a company that grows fast, and the way to grow fast is to make what users want. Newly started startups have no choice but to delight users, or they'll never even get rolling. But this never stops being the lodestar, and bigger companies take their eye off it at their peril. Stop delighting users, and eventually someone else will.

  1. A Guide to Personal Freedom: “The Four Agreements” by Don Miguel Ruiz (Book Summary). The Four Agreements is a great book for anyone who is beginning to take more intentional control over their mind and life. What The Alchemist is for life purpose and Siddhartha is for spiritual growth, perhaps The Four Agreements is for introductory mental mastery

A great mental model on when to speak, Some questions to consider before you speak:
Does this need to be said?
Does this need to be said by me?
Does this need to be said by me right now?

- James Clear

  1. Gold & Dollar both are falling - a new narrative and excesses of printing will rule 2021 - Its gradually and then suddenly.

  2. Let the Yuan Rise Say Chinese Policymakers - The Chinese yuan has significantly strengthened against the dollar to 6.5 CNY from 7.2 in May. It has also strengthened against the euro which now buys 7.9 CNY, down from 8.3 in July.

  3. The Fraying of the US Global Currency Reserve System - Going forward over the next 3-5 years, I still expect many currencies including the dollar to continue to devalue vs hard assets, and for the dollar to probably be among the weaker major currencies during that timeframe (with occasional counter-rallies against that trend, as is natural)

  4. The RCEP Signing and Its Implications - Over the weekend, fifteen Asian states, including China, signed the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP). The deal, midwifed by China and promoted for years by Beijing, includes both close Chinese partners like Cambodia as well as countries with cold relations with Beijing, like Australia and Japan. Overall, RCEP will create the most populous trade area in the world, and it joins together several of the largest economies in the world, like China, Japan, and South Korea. It provides a major signal to investors that the region is still committed to multilateral trade integration.

  5. Airbnb Boosts IPO Price Range to Between $56 and $60 a Share - New price range for home-rental company’s public debut equates to $39 billion to $42 billion, fully diluted
